1. About these terms
These terms form a binding agreement between you (“you”, “the customer”) and MOVANA Express Limited(Company No. SC865340), registered in the United Kingdom with offices at 24 Old Street, London EC1V (“MOVANA Express”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account, requesting a quote or booking a shipment you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service we provide
MOVANA Express is a logistics-orchestration platform that connects you to a panel of independent UK carriers — currently Royal Mail, Evri, DPD, UPS and DHL Parcel UK. We provide:
- Live rate comparison across the carrier panel.
- One-click label generation and consolidated invoicing.
- End-to-end tracking visibility from a single dashboard.
- Customer support during UK business hours.
The physical collection, transit and delivery of your parcels is performed by the chosen carrier under their own terms of carriage, which are incorporated into your booking by reference.
3. UK-only service jurisdiction
MOVANA Express provides parcel courier and order-fulfilment services exclusively within the United Kingdom — meaning England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
We do not arrange, broker, sell or perform any international, cross-border, European Union or non-UK shipping or logistics services under any circumstances. Bookings with origin or destination outside the UK will be rejected.
4. Prohibited and restricted items
MOVANA Express does not handle, store, arrange or transport any classified, hazardous, dangerous or precious materials. This includes (without limitation):
- Explosives, fireworks, ammunition and weapons of any kind.
- Flammable liquids, gases or solids — including aerosols, lighter fluid and perfume/aftershave above carrier limits.
- Lithium-ion or lithium-metal batteries shipped loose (must be installed in or with the equipment they power).
- Corrosive substances, household chemicals such as bleach and oven cleaner, paints and solvents.
- Toxic, infectious or radioactive substances.
- Cash, bullion, precious metals or stones, unset jewellery above £100 in value, and other high-value items as defined by the chosen carrier.
- Controlled drugs and substances banned under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
- Live animals, plants subject to phytosanitary controls, perishable foods, human or animal remains.
- Counterfeit goods, items infringing intellectual property, and goods you do not have the legal right to send.
You are responsible for ensuring every shipment complies with UK law and the chosen carrier's prohibited-items list. We will refuse, return, hold or destroy any parcel found to contain prohibited items, and you remain liable for any costs we or the carrier incur as a result.
5. Your account
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for all activity carried out under your account — keep your password confidential.
- Accounts are for natural persons or registered businesses; you must be at least 18 years old.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, breach UK law, or that we reasonably suspect of fraudulent activity.
6. Quotes, bookings and pricing
- Quotes are indicative and based on the parcel details you provide. If actual weight, dimensions or destination differs, the carrier may revise the rate and we'll pass the adjustment on at cost.
- Prices shown include our service margin. We do not levy hidden fuel surcharges or undisclosed handling fees.
- Payment is due at booking unless you hold a business account with agreed credit terms.
- VAT is added at the prevailing UK rate where applicable.
7. Collection, transit and delivery
- Carrier transit times are working-day estimates, not guarantees. UK bank holidays and severe weather may delay delivery.
- You are responsible for adequate packaging suited to the contents and chosen carrier service.
- Recipients may be required to provide a signature or proof of identity on delivery.
- Where a delivery fails after reasonable attempts, the parcel will be returned to the sender at standard return rates.
8. Liability and claims
Each carrier has its own loss/damage policy and per-parcel liability limit. Standard cover is typically £20 for Royal Mail second class and up to £50 for premium UK services. You can request enhanced cover up to £10,000 per shipment, subject to declaration before booking.
MOVANA Express's liability is limited as follows:
- Our total liability for any one shipment is capped at the amount paid for that shipment or the carrier's declared liability limit, whichever is greater.
- We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.
- Claims must be submitted to claims@movana.co within 28 days of the scheduled delivery date.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or losses arising from prohibited items being lost in transit.
9. Cancellation and termination
- You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. Any unfulfilled shipments remain payable.
- We may terminate or suspend access immediately if you materially breach these terms.
- On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (liability, data retention, governing law) will continue to apply.
10. Intellectual property
MOVANA Express, our logos and the dashboard software are owned by MOVANA Express Limited and protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose only.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll notify account holders by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where Scottish or Northern Irish law mandates otherwise for residents of those nations.
