Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember you between requests — for example, to keep you signed in after you log in. Some cookies are essential to operate the site; others help us improve it.

We also use one closely related technology: a session-cookie token used for authentication. We treat it under the same rules as a cookie.

Firebase Authentication also stores a small amount of sign-in state in your browser's local storage (not cookies) while you're signed in. It's removed on sign-out.

We do not set advertising, social-media tracking or analytics cookies today. If we add analytics in future we'll update this page and ask for your consent first.

• Strictly necessary — required to operate the site (login, security). These cannot be turned off without breaking the service, and the law lets us set them without consent.

We currently use no analytics, marketing or third-party tracking cookies. If we introduce any in future we'll re-prompt for consent before they fire.

You can control cookies in two ways:

• Browser settings — all major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in.
• Email us — if you want to wipe all cookie traces associated with your account, write to privacy@movana.co.

The only third party we rely on for sign-in is Google Firebase Authentication. Firebase stores a small amount of auth state in your browser's local storage (not cookies) while you're signed in. It's subject to Google's privacy policy.

We do not embed analytics, social-media widgets, advertising pixels, or affiliate trackers on this site.

We may update this policy if our cookie usage changes. When we add a new cookie that isn't strictly necessary, we'll re-prompt for consent. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
